North
American Airlines will discontinue international scheduled
service to Lagos, Accra
and Georgetown on May 20, 2008.
North American Airlines' has announced that it will
discontinue scheduled service between the United States
and the cities of Lagos, Nigeria;
Accra, Ghana; and Georgetown, Guyana.
North
American Airlines describes it as a difficult decision,
especially in light of the continuing support they have
received from the traveling public and the governments
in these markets and they regret that economic conditions
now force them to bring these flights to an end.
Until
May 20, their flights to these countries will continue
uninterrupted. They are currently advertising airfares
at the following rates. Visit www.fynaa.com
for one way fares as low as $349* for African destinations
and $199* for Georgetown flights.
Only
NAA's scheduled service operations will be discontinued.
NAA will remain in business as an airline as their planes
will be re-deployed to serve the Charter segment of
the market, exclusively.
