Fairfax, Virginia (January 20, 2017):- The Liberian Community Association of the Washington DC Metropolitan Area, the LCA-DC, INC writes to clarify misleading information about the  purported establishment of an Interim Leadership permeating Liberian online magazines. The LCA-DC wishes to intimate that the leadership of Madam Nee Allison remains in place and continues to enjoy the confidence of the Board of Directors and members of the Association. Additionally, the LCA-DC accentuates that neither Mr. Mainlehwon Ebenezer Vonhm nor Mr. Johnny Barnard meets the membership requirements as explicitly stated in the governing laws of the Association and hence cannot hold office in the Association.

The LCA-DC also asserts that it is registered entity operating under the laws and statues of the United States of America pertaining to non-profit corporations. In pursuance of these laws and statutes, non-profits are governed and held responsible for the full respect and adherence to their bye-laws. Consistent with the By-Law of the LCA-DC, decision relating to the impeachment, replacement and even the convening of the gathering to affect such are contained in Article V Section 2a –fof the Association’s Constitution which can be viewed at: LCA Constitution.

The LCA-DC dismisses as comical, diabolic and extreme the attempt by a handful of individuals to mislead community residents about a “mix and mingle” with the sole intention to beguile and misinform unsuspecting sympathizers of the LCA. The LCA-DC alerts the public to the insincerity and dishonesty of this gang of power seeking hustlers who will do anything to cause havoc in the pursuit of their sinister motives.

Though the LCA-DC is not moved by this act of mischief led by a former leader of the Association, it is important that it is made abundantly clear that anyone doing business with those impersonating as leaders of the LCA-DC will be doing so at their own risks. Madam Allison and the Board of Directors have taken necessary actions to maintain the integrity of the Corporation.  The LCA-DC calls on the coup plotters to desist from such devious attempt to destabilize the Association and join the leadership in leading the Association to elections.

The Leadership of the LCA-DC commends former leaders of the Association for their unwavering support in these times. Lastly, the leadership of the LCA-DC wishes to inform its members, sympathizers and Liberians residing in the Washington DC area that the Elections Commission has been constituted and the date and place of the elections will be announced subsequently.
