CYBER-ED CHRISTIAN SCHOOL OF EXCELLENCE: A LIBERIAN SUCCESS STORY
MONROVIA, LIBERIA. Cyber-Ed Christian School of Excellence (“CCS”) gained membership into the Association of Christian Schools International (“ACSI”), the largest accrediting body for Christian schools in the world. CCS is the only school in the Mano River Union with this membership. In 2019, CCS also established sister school relationships with two schools in the U.S.
Cyber-ed Christian School of Excellence (“CCS”), a wholly owned Christian school, was founded in 2012 by Soni Karnga Williams as a home school in an effort to provide quality education for children in Liberia. Her desire to start a school was based on the fact that she could not find quality education for her two daughters who had relocated to Liberia from the U. S. Subsequently, Counselor Williams made a decision to expand CCS to a day school because of increased enrollment and expressed interests. In 2014, Mrs. Michelle Dennis-Wento joined Cllr. Williams in the expansion of CCS. Today, there are over 100 students enrolled at CCS.
The goal of CCS is to catapult Liberia into the twenty-first century by offering students residing in Liberia the opportunity to acquire the highest quality education and by providing a rich environment of challenging courses. Our flexible student-based approach utilizes a combination of animated lessons and interactive activities through web-based programs and the arts to make learning dynamic and fun.
CCS’ motto is "Striving for Excellence in Learning and Life”. The mission of the school is to help children come into confident possession of their innate talents, acquire the skills needed for success in college anywhere in the world, and establish values that will allow them to be God-fearing, disciplined, self-confident contributors to the advancement of their communities.
