| In 2002, a group of students from the Phoenix class of Saint Patrick High School of Monrovia, Liberia thought of a brilliant idea to assist their classmates that are less fortunate. In a year, a non-profit organization called Phoenix Class Reunion was established. The objective of this organization is to help former classmates who are struggling to make ends meet, especially those in Liberia and other African countries. Our goal is to provide scholarships for post secondary education. Through the generosity of class members and contributors we provide a variety of programs and services to help them meet their basic needs and enhance their educational as well as their physical status in a meaningful, lasting way. On March 19 -21, 2004, as part of this initiative, we hosted the first annual reunion in Maryland, USA. Based on the success of the event we were able to raise and forward funds to our classmates in Liberia and Ghana.
