CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE FOR RETIRED PROFESSOR FREDERICK DWALU HUNDER, SR.

Praise God for His Blessing and the Gift of Retired Professor Frederick Dwalu Hunder, Sr. He lost his body; but his soul can be found in the risen Christ. The Hunder, Porte, Blackie, Barclay, Goba, DeShield,Saye, Korti, Korvah, Scott, Richards, Flomo, Washington, and Tokpah, families announce with profound regrets the home-going in his 77 year of retired Professor Frederick Dwalu Hunder, Sr. This sad event occurred about 8:15 A.M. (LST) on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at his residence in Paynesville City, Liberia.

The illustrious Professor Frederick Dwalu Hunder, Sr. whose demise is lamented by his family, friends and well wishers, recently retired after five decades of extraordinary tenure of teaching in the Science College at the University of Liberia. He was born in PZ Hunder Town, Todee District, Montserrado County, Liberia on May 8, 1936, unto the union of the late Honorable PZ Gbodowah Hunder and Mrs. Lorpu Hunder.

Professor Hunder was commonly known by his family, friends and many former students as: Brother, Uncle Frederick, PZ, Uncle PZ, You know the balance!, The Monkey knows good thing; and Concoction.

Cherishing the memory of his unconditional love, his constant support, and his gentle guidance are his beloved life partner and wife for more then 50 years, Mrs. Cenethe Lelarh Porte-Hunder, his children: Mina (Martin Scott); Yukhiko(James Amnon); Frederick Dwalu Hunder, Jr.; Kendwin Dakinah Hunder (Hattie); Zholu Domah Hunder (Garmei); Sabah Hunder;and Brutus Hunder. His brothers and sisters: Nathaniel Hunder; James Y. Hunder, Sr. (Massa); John T. Flomo (Johnetta); Miatta Leapolu Hunder-Saye (deceased); Arthur P. Hunder,Sr. (Gloria); George Hunder, Sengbe Hunder; Tenneh Zoe (Andrew Korti); Yeagbe Hunder, CeRue (Lloyd Richards-deceased); Musu Hunder (deceased); Kpana Hunder (deceased); 13 grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives in Liberia and the United States, etc.

On Friday, September 13, 2013 at 2:00 P.M., the casket bearing the remains of Professor Frederick Dwalu Hunder, Sr. will be removed from the Stryker Funeral Home to the University of Liberia (LU) campus for 1 hour public viewing.
