“God Be With You Til We Meet Again …”
Late Mother Mary Ledlow Anderson
(“Mother Dear, Medea, Aunty Mary, & Ma Mary”)
As we memorialize your transition from labor to reward Mother Dear, we are reminded that Jesus walked a road more treacherous than we can ever imagine. At the end of His earthly assignment, He prayed: “’Father, if it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me. Yet, I want your will to be done, not mine.’” (Matthew 26:39). We too wondered what was your prayer and resolve to find answers and solace in the first verse of your favorite Scripture: “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty”. (Psalm 91:1)
On May 17, 2016, you answered the call to join the heavenly chorus. On that day, we remembered that our Sovereign Lord had answered Jesus’s prayer for God’s purposes are far beyond human understanding. Yes, we miss your wisdom, love, generosity and will never again share sweet fellowship with you again in this life. The magnitude of the loss often eludes our words. Take comfort in knowing that in memory’s frame you are well kept and your strong pieces of advice linger with us every day.
We, therefore, continue to give thanks and praise to God for granting the request Jesus made on our behalf nearly two thousand years ago, on that night that He gave up His life for all God’s people. May your soul rest eternally in peace Mother Dear til we meet again.
