THE EXCEPTIONAL MEMORY OF HER EXCELLENCY
MADAM RUTH SANDO FAHNBULLEH PERRY
January 8, 2018 - One Year Homegoing Memorial

A TREASURY FULL OF MEMORIES OF A BEAUTIFUL SOUL

Mommy, Mama, Ma Sando, Aunty Sando, Cousin Sando, Sister Ruth, Madam Perry, Mrs.  Perry, and Her Excellency; because of the humble life you lived over the years in all these nomenclatures, hundreds affectionately and respectfully mentioned these names according to their individual relationship that genuinely bonded them to you.

With gratitude “Mommy”, today January 8, 2018, we celebrate the memory of your honorable departure from us to the most comfortable dwelling place with your Heavenly Father. Few days to your ascension to join your LORD Jesus Christ, a glimpse of your departure was revealed to your youngest granddaughter including some relatives and friends. At your departure, they watched a “golden chariot and white horses had descended to pick you up to take you home - Heaven.”  What a glorious departure! It further authenticates how special you were to God, to have such an honorable departure. Praise be to God!

As children, “Mommy”, we celebrate your homegoing with gratitude to God. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts as a compassionate, thoughtful, loving, caring mother, sister, auntie, cousin, friend, and a great state’s woman. Your heart was built big enough to embrace all classes of people that received your love and compassion. Love have always been the wings that you spread wide enough to protect all who called you “Mommy”. Amazingly, you also consciously embraced the most difficult individuals, and the people who thought less of your natural gift of love. The most treasured memory we missed as children and family is, the simplicity of your life while you served in honorable capacities at community, church, and governmental levels.

We, your family, the nation of Liberia, and its people remember your exceptional selfless services during the darkest days in the history of our country - Liberia. You served honorably with an uncompromising bravery and focus, that led the nation from a dark hole. As your children, we keenly observed as you exerted yourself with the strongest desire to restore and unify the people of Liberia.

“Mommy”, we will always remember the beautiful life your lived, and the immeasurable love you made evident when you told us; “be mindful of others”. We hold steadfastly to this charge, and we model it every day of our lives.

As you rest in the most comfortable dwelling place with your Heavenly Father, your earthly miseries are of no value to our sweet memories of the beautiful life you lived with us.

Loving you always Mommy,

Your children and family
