Sister Alice Dorothy Smilanich (Mother Arnulpha)
Sister Alice Dorothy Smilanich affectionately known as Mother Arnulpha, former Mother Superior and Principal of Saint Teresa's Convent, Monrovia, Liberia, passed in her 95th year on August 22, 2007 in North Smithfield, RI.

On April 21, 1944, Mother Arnulpha arrived in Monrovia, Liberia from the United States and began as a teacher for the seventh and eighth graders at STC the very next day. Shortly thereafter, she was told to take charge of the school and her forty-six year stint is legendary not only in Saint Theresa's but throughout Liberia her adopted land which she so loved.

August 27, 2007 Repose 11:00AM
