The Bettie, Smith and Cheeks family regrets to announce the death in his 77th years of Mr. James L. Bettie, formerly from Johnsonville, Liberia. This sad event occurred at the Methodist Hospital on Friday, September 16, 2005 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Bobbor James, as he was affectionately called, leaves to mourn his loss his wife Tenneh Bettie, and three living children- Karen, Rhoda, and Tito Bettie all of Johnsonville, Liberia. Also, mourning his loss are his siblings; John Bettie, Hasty B. Gibson, Victoria B. Sayeneh, Christiana Bettie, Rhoda Bettie, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins of Liberia and the United States.
