Sunrise
- February 14, 1968 Sunset - March
23, 2007
With
profound regrets and heart-wrenching
sadness, the Elliott and Caphart
family announce the sudden passing
of Mrs. Dekontee Mammie Caphart-Elliott.
After suffering a brief illness,
Mammie departed on the morning of
Friday March 23, 2007 at St. Joseph's
Catholic Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.
We
shall miss dearly our spouse, mother,
daughter, sister, aunt, and loving
friend. During her brief life, Mammie
lived a full and happy life, always
rejoicing in giving and willing
to share. While the loss is profound,
we are consoled by the fact that
she now lies comfortably in the
bosom of our Dear Lord. May her
soul rest in perpetual peace.
Dekontee,
affectionately called Mammie, was
born as the last child out of the
loving marital union of Mr. Isaac
and Mrs. Menzohn Caphart and went
on to establish her own family by
marrying to Mr. Amos B. Elliott
and having four children.
Mrs.
Dekontee Mammie Caphart-Elliott
leaves to mourn her passing her
loving husband, Mr. Amos B. Elliott;
her remaining children (Melvin,
Andress and Banica); her father,
Mr. Isaac Caphart; her siblings
(George Gbono, Jonathan Teetalman,
Martha Yeatee, Reggie Gonzaga Vaiyon,
Emma Yodeh, Richard Sarday, Randolph
Deddeh, Jehu and Mardea); her mother-in-law,
Mrs. Lucy Collins; her father-in-law,
Mr. Moses Elliott; her sisters-
and brothers-in-law (including Oretha,
Anastasia, Jowo, Patience, Christine,
Emmanuel, Robert, Elijah and Elvis);
her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles,
cousins and a host of relatives,
friends and well-wishers. Her son,
Amos Jr., and her mother, Mrs. Menzohn
Caphart, predeceased her.
