Mrs. Winifred Moore Stevens Chenoweth

"I HAVE FOUGHT A GOOD FIGHT, I HAVE FINISHED MY COURSE, I HAVE KEPT THE FAITH"  (2: Timothy 4:7)
There is no pain too hard for our God. Giving all Glory to God, the Chenoweth, Moore,and Stevens, families sadly announce the home going of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Mrs. Winifred Moore Stevens Chenoweth .

Mama, Winnie, Wonofred, head of the Moore's girls, Down to Earth, Teacher Chenoweth, Sister Winnie,  as she was affectionately called peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Friday morning, April 20, 2012 at her home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA.
Winifred Chenoweth, daughter of John Richard  and Musu Kla Moore, was born on January 17 1945. At a very young age, she was adopted and raised by her maternal aunt and Uncle,  Rose and Ambassador James Stevens. She was married to Clarence E. Chenoweth in 1966.

Winifred  was very passionate about education and social justice for girls in Liberia. She worked as a Librarian at the Booker T. Washington Institute in Kakata, Liberia and  taught at J.D.K. Baker School and Bong Education Center in Bong Mines, Bong County, Liberia.   She also served as a coach and mentor for several girls' kickball teams. Upon relocating to the United States in 1994 she worked as a Certified Nursing Aide with various agencies. Lastly, she worked  as a Mental Health Professional at Interac Community Center, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania until her retirement.
She leaves to mourn her loss a host of relatives and friends including her husband, Mr. Clarence E. Chenoweth Sr., children, Orlando Chenoweth, Dr. Francien Chenoweth Dorliae, Clarence E. Chenoweth,Jr.  ( Rhonda), and Charles H. Chenoweth.  She also leaves to mourn a number of grandchildren (Anita Kerbay, Chelsea Chenoweth, Brandon Chenoweth, Marcien Dorliae, Pierra Dorliae, Clarence Elijah Chenoweth, Orlando Wisdom Chenoweth, and Siena Chenoweth) siblings including  William Stevens, John Stevens, Walter Stevens, James Richard Moore, Victoria Moore ZaZa and Elizabeth Moore Baryogar.
