Mrs. Johnetta Davis Cisco

It is with the deepest of sorrow, that the Cisco family announces the sad, but glorious home going of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, cousin and aunt, Mrs. Johnetta Davis Cisco. Ma, Sister, Ma Jeanette, John, as she was affectionately called, was born unto the union of Mr. Thomas Davis and Mrs. Mary Hayward Davis on September 13, 1921 in the city of Brewerville , Liberia . Our dearest loving mother was called from labor to rest on August 13, 2009 in Liberia .

Mrs. Johnetta Davis Cisco is survived by her 9 children namely: William E. Cisco (Josephine) (East Orange, NJ); Mary Cisco Walker (Monrovia, Liberia); Sarah Freeman (predeceased her in 1980); Eyo Raynes (Monrovia, Liberia); Emily Wilson Gant (Brewerville, Liberia); Bernice B. Cisco Early (East Orange, NJ); Estella M. Cisco-Dalrymple (Robert) (Central Islip, NY); Rev. Mark B. Cisco (Conyers, GA); Marie Beatrice Cisco (Providence, RI); Alfred Browne (Victoria) (Providence, RI) and Marvin Cisco (Accra, Ghana). Three step children, Jeremiah Gobe Cisco (Mary) Canada , Margaret Cisco-Weah ( Richmond , Virginia ) and Martha Cisco ( Liberia ) Three sisters-in-law: Ada Cisco ( New Jersey ), Norma Cisco Dennis ( Massachusetts ) & Margaret Cisco, ( New York ), and one Brother-in-law, Daniel Cisco ( Georgia ). 49 Grand children which include: William Cisco. Williametta Dawn Cisco-Jeliteh, Smallman Cisco, Emmanuel Cisco, Will J. Cisco, Ralph Walker, Charles Walker, Cyrus Walker, Madia Walker- Bropleh, Barbara Walker, Remmie Tiah, Prince Collins, Johnetta Freeman-Karngbaye, William Freeman, Brutus Freeman, Alfred Freeman, Thomas Gant, Jr., Eric Gant, Geeta Gant-Morris, Edwin Raynes, Mina Raynes, Emmanuel Raynes, Ayo Cisco, Alphonso Gant, Michelle Smith, Eugene Smith, Sadah Proctor, Contee Cisco, Jeregii Cisco, Edna Tay, Coco Tay, Matt Washington, Michael Washington, Melvin Washington, Wilma Marie Cisco, Emmanuel Cisco, Madea Cisco, Samuel, Harrison, Tony, Alfrida Browne, Fred Browne, Deborah Browne, Bernice Browne, Weahdee Weah, Wayne Weah, James Cisco, Estella Cisco, Lovette Cisco; 51 Great Grand Children, 3 Great Great Grand Children, Nephews, Nieces, a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are as follows:

Wake Keeping will be held on: Friday, September 4, 2009, 6:00pm, Gedeh Chapel A.M.E. Church , Brewerville , Liberia .

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2009, at 10:00am at Gedeh Chapel A.M.E. Church , Brewerville , Liberia . Internment will be at Brewerville Cemetery . A repast will follow immediately after the internment, at the Brewerville Town Hall

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 10, at 11:00am, at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 15-21 Sanford St. East Orange , NJ 07018 .
