going of their loved one, Dorothy Harriet Eugenia
Musuleng Cooper. 'D-Mus', 'Tratee', 'Big Mama',
'Teacher Dorothy', 'Rock of Gibraltar', 'International
Lady', 'Aunt Dot' as she was affectionately
called, was born on September 9, 1930 unto Augustus
Washington Cooper, Sr. and Irene Anna Flossy
Knight. 'D-Mus' quietly 'stole away' on Tuesday,
June 30, 2009 at the John F. Kennedy Hospital.
'D-Mus'
is survived by her children: Samuel H. Herring,
Jr. (Victoria), Boehnflahn J. Herring (Agnes),
Alonzo B. Herring (Edwina), Eva-mae Herring-Christopher,
Madia Herring-Mensah, Johnett Herring Hammond,
Anie Herring-Freeman, Laurel Herring, Ruel F.
Dempster (Matilda), Byogah J. Herring (Melreta),
Hilton Herring (Joyce), Amanda Herring, Christopher
Herring, Eunice Tubman, Lily Behna, Edwin Borbor,
Roland Mitchell, Tonieh Wiles, Benoni Urey (Mai),
John T. Richardson (Josephine), Belle Roberts
(Louis), Myrtle Gibson, Eric Kilby, and numerous
others.
Stepmother: Monica Taylor Cooper; Sisters: Eva-mae
Caulker, Gladys Herring, Amelia Cooper, Ivy

blessed with 30 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren,
several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins,
and a host of other relatives and friends.
