John S. V. Cooper Sr.

The family of Mr. John S.V. Cooper Sr. announces the peaceful home going of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. This unexpected event occurred at The Washington Adventist Hospital in Takoma Park, Maryland, on Monday, April 11, 2011.

The late John S. V. Cooper Sr. worked as Director of Procurement at the Ministry of Youth and Sports (former Ministry of Labor). He was a member of the Order of the Knights of Marshall in Monrovia, Liberia.

The late John S.V. Cooper is survived by his wife of 42 years, Gertrude Mentoe Cooper; seven children: Quina Cooper Gibson (Edward), John S. V. Cooper Jr. (Olivia), Gertrude Cooper Traore (Vamuyen), Alberto Cooper (Zoe), Josephine Cooper Gardner (Joshua), Austin Cooper (Almay), and Mentoe cooper. Nieces: Yei Gassi, Pastor Kou-Jeanet Dololopaye, Marjay Mentoe; nephews- Steven Gonyon, Eric Cooper, Weefus Gonyon, and many other relatives.
