Mr. Ernest Alpha Davies

The Davies, Liberty, and Marshall families regret to announce the untimely death of their son, brother, father, nephew, uncle, cousin, Mr. Ernest Alpha Davies. This grievous event occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, March 31, 2019 in Houston, Texas.

Ernest was tremendously loved by many and filled numerous roles. Many sought his wisdom of problem solving skills; he was an active listener and offered many wise counsels. To his parents, Ernest was a “model child” with rich talents and creativities. Others described Ernest in the following manner: “a quiet giant”, empathetic, protective, dependable, great observer, inventive, idealist, dedicated, loving, reassuring, friendly, perfect gentleman, polite, influential, calming, remarkable, gifted and talented. Mr. Ernest Davies was also a devoted member of the “Pride of Texas #15 Masonic Lodge.”

Ernest leaves to mourn his death, his parents, Mr. William O. Davies (“Uncle Bill”) and Mrs. Caroline Liberty Davies (“Aunty TeeTee”); his wife, Celestina; his two daughters: Brianna and Destiny; his siblings: Olufemi (Lorraine), Verna, Dasie, Clarence, Wilfred, Siannan, Dorothy Lloyd (J.R.) and numerous other siblings. Also mourning Ernest’s demise are many uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews, nieces, god children, a grand nephew, along with a host of other relatives, close friends, and associates. His sister, Amelia predeceased him.
