Davis, Trinity, Dennis and Fahnbelleh families
are saddened to announce the peaceful homegoing
in his 85th year, of Col. Frederick Wellington
Davis, Sr. (Ret. AFL). This demise occurred
at the St. Joseph Catholic Hospital on Monday,
October 24, 2011 at 7 o'clock in the morning
in Monrovia, Liberia
was a loving husband, an admired father to all,
a man of wisdom, a man of discipline. Significantly
the late Col. Davies will be remembered for
his designed of new military insignias giving
Liberia its own identity insignias for the Liberian
leaves to mourn his loss his loving wife Mrs.
Williametta Dennis Davis, his children Gail
Davis Cisco, Eudeen Davis Cooper, and Son-in-law
Randolph C. J. Cooper, Thomas Elwood Davis,
II, and daughter-in-law Matu Montgomery Davis;
Edith Williametta Davis, Rosamond Almond Davis
of the USA, Benjamin Oliver Davis, Eugene Fahnbulleh
Davis. Other children include Cleopatra Elaine
Davis, Beatrice Weah and Christopher Weah. Grand
children: Pastor Thomas Elwood Davis, III, and
daughter-in-law Kareann Davis of the USA, Shirley
Cisco Dukes son-in-law Lorenzo Donnell Dukes
of the USA, and Latifa Lischen Cooper, Gail
Charlene Davis of the USA, Yuade Eudeen Wilson,
Frederick Jumatatu Torrence of the USA, Oliver
Daivs and other grand children include Madia
Gant, Princess Taylor, Mabeline and others.
One brother Emmanuel Boima Fahnbulleh of the
USA, 2 nieces Abigaile Johnson Barnes of the
USA and Thelma Johnson Gaga-Richardson of the
USA and a host of loving cousins, relatives
and friends of the USA and Liberia.
Friday November 11, at 5:00 PM, the body will
be removed from Samuel Stryker Funeral Home
in Monrovia and taken to the Trinity Cathedral
Episcopal Church on Broad Street, for one night
of Wake Keeping.
Saturday, November 12, at 10:00 AM the Funeral
Service will be held at the same church.
