It is with grief that we, the DeShield family, announce the death of our brother, father, uncle, cousin and friend, Frederick Russell DeShield, Sr. (commonly called Fred or Freddie-D). This sad event occurred on Monday, March 31, 2008 at the Temple of Justice, Monrovia, Liberia.

Frederick Russell DeShield, Sr. is survived by his children, Arnold, Frederick Russell, Jr., Stataria and Cyrus DeShield; his grandchildren, Sidney, Jalin, Armani, Nadia and Victoria; his sisters, brother, sisters-in-law, aunt and partner Marpu. He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
