It is with profound sadness that the Diggs, Logan, Hoggard, Obedekah, George, Makor, Massaquoi, Branch, Forkpa, Hughes, and Herring families announce the passing of Bishop Emeritus of the Lutheran Churches of Liberia and former Interim Vice President of the Republic of Liberia Ronald Joseph Diggs, which occurred Friday, March 1, 2019 in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He was eighty-four years old. “Boyray,” or “Uncle Boyray,” as he was affectionately called by family and friends was a remarkable counsellor for his family and community.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mae Makor Diggs, his parents, Rev. Joseph Sayeh Diggs and Ruth C. Diggs; Siblings: Edmund L. Diggs, Anna Diggs-Forkpa and James Forkpa, Dorothea Florence Diggs, George Diggs, and Harvey Diggs.

He is survived by his Children, Sayeh Ronald Diggs (Kema), Eddie Diggs (Eusebia), Harriet Duncan-Carter (Michael), Myers Diggs, Yeacon Diggs, Tenneh Diggs Tuah, Calvin Coleman, his sister, Carol Obedekah and brother, Walter George. He also leaves to mourn thirteen grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives of the Diggs, Hoggard, Logan, Obedekah, George, Makor, Massaquoi, Branch, Forkpa, Hughes, and Herring families.
