The New Life Church Of Staten Island, Inc and the Dixon Family regret to announce the death of our Arch Bishop /Dr. William Nah Dixon. This sad event occurred on Wednesday morning, June 4, 2014 at his home on Staten Island, New York
Late Arch Bishop /Dr. W. Nah Dixon.

It is with profound regrets that the Dixon family and the New Life Church of Staten, Inc., announce the death of Arch Bishop/Dr. William Nah Dixon. This sad event occurred on Wednesday June 4th, 2014 at his residence on Staten Island, New York.

Arch Bishop Dr. W. Nah Dixon was the founder and Senior Pastor of the Don Stewart Christ Pentecostal Church (DSCPC) in Bushrod Island, Monrovia, Liberia. He was eighty (80) years old.

He was also the founder of the Deaf and Dumb School in Virginia, Liberia, served as former president of the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC) and he was instrumental in the resolution of the Liberian civil crisis. As a result of his commitment to peace and concern for Liberians, Arch-Bishop Dr. William Nah Dixon received several honors as a "Humanitarian and Educator of the Year" from reputable institutions and groups, including The INQUIRER, and a Pro-democracy peace building civil society watch-dog organization, the Society for the Promotion of Peace, National Reconciliation and Reunification (SPNRL), among others.

Bishop Dixon was also the founder of the "FEED MY PEOPLE," a segment of the Don Stewart Pentecostal Church in the Borough of New Kru Town, outside Monrovia. The 'Feed My People" project was successful in that many people who were in dire need of food during the Liberian civil crisis benefited from the program.

A Funeral service is scheduled on Staten Island, NY for Saturday, June 28, 2014 at 19:00 AM at the Christian Pentecostal Church, 900 Richmond Road, Staten Island, NY 10310.

His Remains will be flown to Liberia on Monday June 30th, 2014. Two nights of wake keeping are scheduled to be held Thursday and Friday July 3rd, and 4th, 2014 and funeral service will be July 5th, 2014 in Point 4, Bushrod Island, Don Stewart Christ Pentecostal Church, Monrovia, Liberia

Let us together pray to the Almighty God to render all strength and courage to his sorrowing family for this great loss. May His Soul rest in Perfect Peace.
