Chuku Doe (Anthony Strong, Samuel Jubor)
------ 1958 – January 30, 2018

He that dwelleth in the secret place in the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.  I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

It is with profound regret that Anthony Strong, Chuku Doe, (aka: Samuel Jubor) of Greenville, Sinoe County was called home to be with the Lord, on January 30, 2018 at Marcy Fitzgerald Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.  Chuku leaves to celebrate his life: Fiancé, Marie Otch, Former Wife, Salome Doe, Children: Sawia Doe, Lucky Doe, Chuku Doe, Tina Doe, TeKonte Doe and Johnny Papu Doe (nephew), Brothers: Juegbe Emmanuel Doe, Teah Doe, Sisters: Josephine Trouble Girl Gibson, Wannie Doe, Aunts: Agnes Mombo Davies, Munah D. Mayo, Oretha Wesley-Sefa, Sister-in-Law. Anita Wilson-Doe, cousins: Terry Dunbar, Sylvester Ricks, Celeste Ricks, Tarley Wiles, Josephine Wiles, Vivian Doe-Neil, Josephine Pinto Warner, Juah Seekie, Vambo Emannuel Ricks, James N. Boyue, Wahneneh Boyue, Ujay Boyue, Servinia Dunbar-Poper, Chuku Albertine Davies, Minnie Davies-Mensah, Eben Davies, Dan Davies, Saran Davies, and Elizah Davies.

Chuku is predeceased by his Mother, Walker Doe, Father, Anthony Minneh Strong and sister, Getty Jo Doe.

Chuku attended Methodist School in Greenville, Sinoe County.  He later went to Monrovia where he attended high school.  When war broke in Liberia, he was one of the first groups of Liberians who fled to Accra, Ghana.  He lived at the Buduburam Refugee Camp in Ghana for nearly 20 years before immigrating to the US. He graduated from Center for Employment Technical School in Alexandria, VA, USA.  He was awarded a Plumber’s certificate.  He freelanced as a plumber in Metropolitan Philadelphia, PA.   He was a member of the Buduburam Refugee Association in the US.  He will be missed by the Buduburam Refugee Association.

Dear Chuku, Samuel, Anthony, and all the other names you were affectionately called, we find comfort knowing that your soul is resting in Joyful and perfect peace with Christ Jesus.  We love you; but God loves you the best.
