DEACON MISSIONARY
EMMANUEL OTEE DOE

September 24, 1966 - April 3, 2018

The Doe, Gibson and ICF Families regret to announce the sudden passing of Deacon Emmanuel Otee Doe after a brief illness. This shocking and very sad event occurred on April 3, 2018 at Phebe Lutheran Hospital in Suakoko, Bong County, Liberia.

Otee as he was called by many was born in the City of Tubmanburg (Bomi Hills), Liberia on September 24, 1966 unto James Dortus Sr. and Elfreda Dolly Doe. He later grew up in the Refuge Tabernacle Temple of Monrovia and later relocated to Atlanta after the brutal Liberia civil war where he narrowly escaped death. He became a member of the ICF Ministries on February 20, 1994 where he served faithfully as a very active member. He was ordained Deacon on April 1993 as the younger Deacon of ICF and served in that position until his untimely death.

He was indeed very friendly, gifted and talented person who could turn any sad situation into a smile with love and caring attitude. He loved singing, telling jokes, acting and making speeches. Deacon Doe served in many aspects of ministry at ICF including being an Usher, a member of the Choir, Men’s Ministry, Deacon Ministry and even as a volunteer Missionary at ICF Mission of Hope (MOH) in Folah, Bong County, Liberia. He was indeed a great lover of sports particularly soccer and was known as Seniorplaya. On May 21, 1994, Otee took his sweetheart Eunice Gibson as his wife and the two shared a great love together in good times as well as in bad times.

Deacon Doe leaves to cherish his memories a devoted and trusted wife Eunice Gibson-Doecof Morrow, GA; his loving children: Emmanuel of Monrovia, Liberia, Paula, Emmett, Kasinda, Samantha and Ivanna, all of whom live in Morrow, Georgia; two grandchildren :Seth (8) and Savyn (3); his brothers: Rev. James Doe, Jr., and Bishop Dortus Chea Doe of Monrovia, Liberia, and Jacob Doe of  Finland; many aunties, uncles, cousins and a host of beloved relatives and friends in Liberia and the United States. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
