Ophelia Yah Dokie

The Dokie, Williams, Garnett and Shiancoe families announce with sadness and heavy hearts the home going of their beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend Ophelia Yah Dokie. This heartbreaking event occurred at CaroMont Healthcare Center in Gastonia, North Carolina on July 5th, 2015.

OD, as she was affectionately called, is survived by her children, Patrice Saye Williams, Tanya Garnett Brown and Armah Jonathan Shiancoe, Grandchildren Tricia Kou Williams, Dwight Garnett, Saye Matthew Williams, Lauren Patrice Williams, Noelle Andrell Williams, Julius Kayee, Xavier Nii Ashitey Shiancoe, Phoebe Renee NA Shiancoe and a host of brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces and friends.

Memorial Service:
July 25, 2015 form 10:00am – 1:00pm at University City United Methodist Church, 3835 West WT Harris Blvd., Charlotte, North Carolina 28269
