In Memory of Miss Edwina Tenneh Fahnbulleh

Mama, Aunty, Sister, Fanhbulleh, Tenneh, TF, as you were affectionately called by your family and friends. Today December 30, 2006 marks one year since your departure from this earth to be with your Lord. Your departure has created a big and wide vacuum in our lives that will never ever be filled until we all gather on that beautiful shore.

Last year, while other families prepared for and celebrated Christmas, we were full of grief over your poor state of health and prayed to the almighty to heal and get you off your bed of affliction. Instead, the Almighty Lord decided to put an end to your pains and took you for eternal rest. This year, as we celebrate the birth of Christ, we miss you so much. The family in Robersport missed the pickup/truck climbing the hill full of gifts and goodies. The group in Monrovia missed the wrapped gifts and that delicious cooking. We, who are abroad, tended to pick up the phone to dial the your telephone number in order to hear that soft voice, but were stopped by the crude realization that you are no longer there; hot tears rolled down our eyes and we began to ask God why. Lord, why Lord? But we are consoled in the knowledge that He knows best according to His Divine wisdom.

Professionally, those that came in contact with you missed that soft spoken voice which was accompanied by a disarming smile.
You were highly sociable but private. Tenneh, TF, as you were called by your many, many friends you are truly missed. What can we say? The lord giveth and the lord taketh away for the best.

Though it has been a year since you left us we still feel that you are right here with us. Your beautiful and disarming smile, soft voice, commanding presence, and genuine love and affection for your fellowman will forever be missed by many. God be with you until we meet again.
