THE LORD HAS GIVEN AND THE LORD HAS TAKEN AWAY.  BLESSED BE THE NAME OF THE LORD.

THE FENDOR, MENEYEGEHN, WILLIE AND BORGUAHFAMILIES ANNOUNCE WITH PROFOUND REGRETS THE DEATH IN HIS 67TH YEAR, OF MR. JACKSON NYAH FENDOR.

THIS SAD EVENT OCCURRED ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 19TH AT 2:40 AM, AT THE JOHN F. KENNEDY MEDICAL CENTER IN MONROVIA, LIBERIA, WEST AFRICA.

HE WAS BORN UNTO THE UNION OF MR. GONEH FENDOR (PREDECEASED) AND MRS. GORMA YEN FENDOR, AT GONEH TOWN AND RAISED IN BORGUA TOWN, LIBERIA.

“JACKIE”, “POP JACKSON”, AS HE WAS AFFECTIONATELY CALLED BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY, COMPLETED HIS PRIMARY EDUCATION AT YOUTH MISSION IN BONG COUNTY AND THROUGH THE LAMCO AREA SCHOOL SYSTEM IN YEKEPA, LIBERIA BEFORE GAINING EMPLOYMENT WITH LAMCO IN YEKEPA, NIMBA COUNTY. AT AN EARLY AGE HE DEVELOPED great INTEREST IN GRAPHIC DESIGNS DURING HIS EMPLOYMENT WITH LAMCO WHERE HE COMPLETED HIS PROFESSIONAL TRAINING AS THE VERY BEST GRAPHIC DESIGNER IN LIBERIA AT THAT TIME.BECAUSE OF HIS SUPERIOR TECHNICAL SKILLS IN GRAPHIC DESIGNS, JACKSON FENDOR WAS SOUGHT OUT BY MANY ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDING THE GOVERNMENT OF LIBERIA (GOL).IN THIS REGARD, THE GOL IN 1968, ARRANGED WITH LAMCO FOR MR. FENDOR TO LEAD THE GRAPHIC DESINGS & TYPE SETTING DIVISION OF THE COUNTRY’S LEADING NEWS PAPER (THE LIBERIAN STAR). IN 1968 HE MOVED TO MONROVIA AFTER GAINING EMPLOYMENT WITH THE LIBERIAN STAR, A GOVERNMENT PRINTING PRESS AND NEWS ORGANIZATION.JACKSON HELD THIS JOB FOR MANY YEARS AND WOULD GO ON, BECAUSE OF HIS VAST KNOWLEDGE IN HIS FIELD, TO LATER WORK FOR SABANOH PRESS, A LEADING PRINTING & PUBLISHING OUTFIT UNTIL 1979 WHEN HE DECIDED TO OPEN HIS OWN BUSINESS; THE GRAPHICAFRIK PRINTERS ON BENSON STREET, MONROVIA, LIBERIA.

WITH THE ERUPTION OF THE CIVIL WAR IN 1989, HE WAS FORCED OUT OF BUSINESS.  AFTER THE WAR HE MOVED ELWA-REHAB RESIDENCE WITH HIS FAMILY; WHERE HE STAYED UNTIL THE TIME OF HIS DEATH.

HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS MOTHER; MRS. GORMA YEN FENDOR, HIS CHILDREN; MUSU FENDOR (GBARNGA), TRACY FENDOR (CAPE PALMAS), PARPAY (LIBERIA), S.D. DIDIER FENDOR (USA).  HIS SIBLINGS; ERNEST FENDOR (USA), JACKSON FIINDOR (LIBERIA), ALFRED FENDOR (LIBERIA), ESTHER FENDOR (JESSE), ORETHA FENDOR (LIBERIA), ERASTUS SAYE WIEH (USA), PEI H. FENDOR (ANNA) USA,JIMMY FENDOR AND A HOST OF NIECES, NEPHEWS, GRAND CHILDREN AND OTHER RELATIVES AND FRIENDS.
MAY THE SOUL OF OUR DEPARTED SON, FATHER, BROTHER AND FRIEND REST IN PERPETUAL PEACE.
FUNERAL SERVICES WERE HELD ON DECEMBER 7, 2013 IN LIBERIA.  A MEMORIAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD ON JANUARY 4, 2014.
