Deacon Joshua Edward Forte, Sr.,

The death is announced in his 67th year of Deacon Joshua Edward Forte, Sr., commonly know as "J. Forte", of Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia.

This sad event occurred on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 after a protracted period of illness.

The late Joshua Forte Sr. is survived by his widow, Mrs. Doris M. Forte of Buchanan, Ten children: Mrs. Erma Forte-Dorbor, of Trenton, New Jersey; Joshua jr.; Ella; Mrs. Bernice Forte-Roberts; Allen; Francis; Yornie; Zangar; Baryogar; and Togar Forte, all of Liberia. Three sisters: Margaret L. Forte, of Liberia, Mrs. Rachel Forte-Elliott, of Minnesota and, Janie Forte-Reeves of Rhode Island. Two Brothers: Mr. James T. Forte of Georgia and Mr. Elijah A. Barnard of Rhode Island.

He also leaves to mourn his loss grand and great grand children, many nieces and nephews, The Redd, Davis, and Forte Families and, many friends of Liberia and the USA.

Funeral services will take place in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County, Liberia on Saturday, November 12, 2005.

Burial will follow in Fortsville, Grand Bassa on the same day.
