Ambassador James B. Freeman

The Freeman-Fahnbulleh Family announces with faith in the resurrection the death of retired Ambassador James B. Freeman in his 83rd year, which event occurred on Friday, September 21, 2012 in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

Ambassador Freeman was predeceased by his wife, Edwina Morgan Freeman, and his parents Chief Manju Fahnbulleh and Sando Kawa Fahnbulleh. He is survived by his children, Tenneh Freeman Schall, Creola Sando Freeman, Neil Bottom, and Zoe Janet Freeman, and grandchildren: James Pratt, Edwina Walker, Yarwina Asasi-Fahnbulleh, Ronal Schall and Jande Blay.

Ambassador Freeman is also survived by siblings, Sansee Fahnbulleh, Miatta Fahnbulleh, Calvin Freeman, Gao Freeman, Garmon Fahnbulleh, Hawa Sherman, Varney Fahnbulleh, Jimmah Fahnbulleh, Gebbeh Fahnbulleh, Gladys Fahnbulleh, Sedia Fahnbulleh, Hawa Fahnbulleh Zinnah, Lansannah Fahnbulleh, Sata Fahnbulleh, Momo Fahnbulleh, Dwamane Fahnbulleh and Bartu Fahnbulleh and their spouses, and a host of Freeman-Fahnbulleh and Morgan relatives, as well as many friends and colleagues. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at StJamesEpiscopal Church at Lafayette Square, 1020 West Lafayette Ave. Baltimore, MD 21217.

11:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist and Requiem Mass

On Friday, October 26, 2012, a Service of Vigil (wake) will be held at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, Camp Johnson Road, Monrovia, Liberia, to be followed by a Solemn Requiem Mass for the peaceful repose of his soul on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at St. Thomas.

The late Ambassador Freeman will be laid to rest in his ancestral home of Kenema, Tewor District, Grand Cape Mount County, Liberia on Saturday, October 27, 2012. 

We pray that God may have mercy on him and light perpetual may shine upon him.
