Myrline Sanah Cooper Gbarbea

The Gbarbea, Vincent, Cooper, Karnley, and Mathis families announce with deep sadness the home going of Myrline Sanah Cooper Gbarbea who was a loving and caring mother, educator, and family pillar. She attended Mary J. Fiske Elementary School, College of West Africa , and the University of Liberia where she graduated with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education with honors. Her transition into life eternal occurred at 8:25 p.m est on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the Carolina Medical Center University in Charlotte, North Carolina.

She was born to the late Hon. Momolu S. Cooper and Mrs. Gennether Vincent. She was married to the late James Y. Gbarbea Sr. the first superintendent of Bong County. She was the owner and principal of Gbarbea Elementary & Junior High School on Sinkor Old Road.
She was predeceased by her husband James Y. Gbarbea Sr., her son Reyanzo Varnie Richards, and her siblings Lincoln M. Cooper, Momolu S. Cooper,Victoria Vincent, Precious Cooper, and her Aunt Katherine Vincent. She leaves to mourn her loss, her beloved children, grandchildren, siblings, cousins, nieces, nephews, former Gbarbea school students, and friends in Liberia and the United States. Siblings include: Kartumu Cooper Boakai (Joseph Boakai), Hilary Vincent (Marie Vincent), Linda Simpson, Oliver C, Cooper(Ciatta Cooper), Rev. Daniel Cooper, Gertrude Cooper Jones (Ernest Jones), Marvis Cooper, Anastasia Cooper Richards(Sam Richards), and Lafayette Cooper (Ruth Cooper).

Mrs. Myrline Gbarbea impacted many lives in a positive way and will be greatly missed. May her soul rest in perfect peace.
