It is with deep sadness that the Gbarsah and Kermee families announce the loss of their beloved son, Kollie Gbarsah. This sad event occurred on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in Coon Rapids, MN. Kollie was born on June 27, 1961 in Monrovia, Liberia, the first child to the union of Benny Shorplor Gbarsah and Kortoe Gbarsah.
Kollie attended St. Martin’s Catholic School and Gbalatuah High School in Bong County. He also attended Booker T. Washington Institute (BWI) in Kakata, Margibi County, where he completed an accelerated mining program.
Kollie was predeceased by his father, Benny Gbarsah and siblings Tokpa, Darkenmu, Kondo, and Niala Gbarsah. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his beloved mother, Kortoe Gbarsah; children Bilita, Neila, Benny II, and Victor Gbarsah; grandson Isaiah Lincoln; siblings Jane Sawyer, Vashtai Gbarsah, Dawar Gbarsah, Benetta Gbarsah, Bullo Gbarsah, Ganku Gbarsah, Isaac Gbarsah, and Melvin Gbarsah; aunts Esther Keleekai and Magdalene Sowid; uncles James Kermee, Jr., George Kermee, Rufus Kermee, and Naklee Cole, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family in Liberia and the U.S.A. May the soul of our beloved and the souls of all our faithful departed rest in perfect peace.
