Bernice Gabbidon-George
The
death is announced of Deaconess Druscilla Bernice Gabbidon-George
originally of Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia, West Africa.
This
sad event occurred on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 in Decatur,
Georgia.
She was born on June 10, 1908 unto the union of Rev. Samuel
Gabbidon and Hannah Gabbidon in Freetown, Sierra Leone.
The
late Druscilla (commonly known as Teta) was the faithful wife
of the late Rev. James E. Goerge, Sr. and she worked for many
years at the Gbarnga Methodist Mission in Liberia. She was
past Grand Matron Order of Eastern Star.
She relocated to Atlanta, Georgia as a result of the Liberian
civil war and because an active member of the International
Christian Fellowship.
She
leaves to mourn her lost, her children Hilda George-Graham
(biological), Rufus George, Lovesta Johnson-Jones, Albert
George, NaeNae George Diggs, among others; a host of grand
children, great grand children and relatives in Liberia and
the United States.
