Mother Louise Mydea George
March 25, 1921 – November 23, 2016

“Bless the Lord O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name”

The George Family announces with thanksgiving to God from whom all blessings flow, the death in her 96th year of Mother Louise Mydea George (commonly known as Tete Wees) of Paynesberry, Grand Bassa County. This blessed event occurred on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at the Northwest Hospital in Randallstown, Maryland.

Mother Louise George, the Matriach of the George Family, is survived by her children Deacon Esther K. Richards, Mrs. Christine Gaydeh (Lionel), Mrs. Naenae George-Diggs, Mrs. Markan Gongar-Taylor (Winston) and E. Othello Gongar (Safu); her sister-in-law Deaconess J. Eva George; her cousins Mrs. Monroetta G. Phelps-Weeks, Deacon Lovest George-Jones, Mrs. Hilda George-Graham, and Mr. Rufus George, and her cousin-in-law Deacon Letitia A. Reeves.  She was predeceased by her sons Carroll George, Thomas Wilson and Samuel Wilson; and her siblings Mr. Arthur George, Mr. Boyd Kerlie George, Rev. Peter Amos George, Sr., Mrs. Annie George-Gongar, and Dr. John Payne Mitchell.

Her grandchildren include Mahmia Richards, Sammakai Richards (Jangar), Matene Okoye (Billy), Carroll George, Eugene George, Ishmael George, Melvin George, Anthony George, James Clinton George, Kerlie George, Anthony Charles, Anthony DeFree, Jr., Lynette Beauty Gaydeh, Sandra Richards, Romeo Richards, Caroline Richards (Oliver), and Cathy Eastman. 

Tete Wees is also survived by great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, great-grand nieces and nephews, and a host of cousins in Liberia and the United States. 

May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
