With heavy hearts, the Getteh, Jallah, Sloan and Kargbo families deeply regret to announce the home-going of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin and friend, Sister Mary Yeayea Sloan-Getteh. She departed this life peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014 at the East Orange General Hospital, New Jersey, USA
She is survived by her children, Karmah Quaye (Jacob), Sando Sloan, Argba Kargbo (Louise), Wilson Kargbo (Marie), Lee Nasue Getteh and Pastor Gemane G. Getteh. Foster children: the Gettehs and the Kargbos. Siblings: Zadywonie Kollie (Theresa), Martha Sloan Dargbeh (Lowell), Karbeh Zenneh Kollie (Gizzie), Robert Sloan (Esther), and Massaboi Koiwood Sloan, fourteen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, several loving uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and a host of relatives in the United States and Liberia.
Her husband, Francis Getteh, parents Massaboi Sloan and Kemah Jallah-Sloan predeceased her.
