Obituary of Lee Franklin Grigsby

The Grigsby and Cooper families announce with profound regrets the home going of our beloved father, grandfather, grand uncle, brother, uncle, nephew, and cousin, Lee Franklin Grigsby, commonly called Bub Lee. This sad event occurred Monday, April 2, 2012 at the J. F. Kennedy Hospital, Monrovia, Liberia after a brief illness.
Bub Lee is survived by two sons, Osmond and Nash Grigsby, his aunts, Frances and Arimenta Grigsby, elder Margaret Williams; two brothers, Haven (Rachel) Grigsby, and Samuel Ghunney; two sisters, Fannie Cole-Weefur and Rose Ama Ghunney; several cousins, Ariminta Gibson, Marsha-Lynn Cooper (Delano) Genevieve E. Freeman, Olive Mitchell, Hazel Mathew (Lancedell), Sylvia Grigsby, Marilyn Harris (Wilfred) and a host of nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins and friends. Lee's parents, Mr. Bodyguard Grigsby and Mrs. Theodosia Cooper-Harvey, and sister, Eva Grigsby, predeceased him.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Wake keeping: The body of Lee Franklin Grigsby will be removed from the Samuel Stryker Funeral Parlor on Friday, April 27, 2012 at the hour of-5:00 p.m. and taken to the First United Methodist Church, Ashmun Street, Monrovia. Wake keeping begins immediately thereafter.
Funeral Services: Funeral Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.
