James Kwame Hamilton, Jr.
It is with deep sorrow and profound regret that we, the Hamilton and Gibson families announce the sudden and untimely death of James Kwame Hamilton, Jr. known popularly as’ Kwame’ and affectionately called ‘The General’ by his many friends. This sad event occurred in Accra, Ghana on January 25, 2012 as a result of a tragic motor accident.
Kwame was born in Yekepa, Nimba County, Liberia unto the union of the Late Professor James K. Hamilton and Annie Gibson Hamilton. He grew up in Harper, Maryland County, Liberia and was a very sociable person who always made new friends.
Kwame’s demise is an irreparable loss to the family. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his mother Annie Gibson-Hamilton; daughter, Jacqueline Hamilton; brother Anthony Wilson (Charlotte); sisters, Florence Deputie, Gwendolyn Wilson, Aba Hamilton Dolo (Emmanuel) and Jacqueline Araba Hamilton; several nieces, nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends including the Hamilton, Mensah and Okyne families of Elmina, Takoradi and Accra, Ghana and the Gibson, Cooper and Sharper families of Harper, Maryland County, Liberia.
‘For if we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord's’. Romans 14:8. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
Funeral Service will be held at All Souls Episcopal Church, Buduburam, Gomoa, Ghana on Saturday, March 24, 2012 at 8:30AM
Internment will follow at Awodome Cemetery in Accra, Ghana
Memorial Service will be announced later.
