Aaron Theophilus Harris (Uncle A)

January 11, 1956 - July 12, 2019

The Harris family announces with deep regrets the sudden death of their beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin Mr. Aaron Theophilus Harris. This sad event occurred on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the JFK Hospital in Monrovia, Liberia.

Aaron is survived by his four children Aaronette Harris, Shirlita Harris, Joy Harris and Richu Bozie Harris (Tiaera); six grandchildren Josiah Harris, J’Niyah Harris Butler, Taron Spencer, Tarmarcus Spencer, Jr., Aniyah Lee Harris and Richu Bozie Harris, Jr.; his sisters Maria-Carmelita Harris, Precious Alma Harris and Onike Reeves-Richards (Pastor Richards); Aunties Leila Myrna Saab, Jacqueline Nato Greenfield, Nellie Greenfield, and Magdelene Greenfield; Uncles Joseph A. Greenfield, Kermit A. Greenfield and Narven Greenfield; Nieces Miama Wiles, Jamilla Martin, Estelle Gertrude Harris-Neuville (Peter) and Dekontee Denise Jackson-Conner (Matthew); and Nephews Al Wiles, Srah McCabe, Mack Robert Harris, Carl Ivor Coleman (Theresa), Leo Barlone, Abel Grear and Duxza Grear. He is also survived by his cousins, grand nieces, grand nephews and a host of other relatives and friends in Liberia, United States and around the world.

He was predeceased by his son Aaron T. Harris, Jr., his parents Philemon Ezekiel and Estelle Alma Harris, his brothers David Francis Harris (Mack) and Philemon Timothy Harris (Brother Boy); his uncles H. G. Greenfield, David B. Greenfield and Franco Greenfield, and his aunt Cynthia Tucker.

Aaron was a praying man; a hardworking, smart and elegant man. He loved to dress and bluff, and he just knew he could sing and dance. He also loved protocol. May his soul rest in perfect peace with Almighty God, and may he continue to sing and dance in heaven.

The body will be removed from the Anderson Funeral Home on Lynch Street, Monrovia and taken to St. John’s Episcopal Church in Buchanan.
