Mr. Wilbert A. J. Hoff

The Hoff and Telewoda families announce with profound regrets the death of Mr. Wilbert A. J. Hoff, a Liberian Architect, founding member of the Liberian Business Association (LIBA), and former President of the Invincible Eleven Sports Associat ion. This sad event occurred on Christmas night, December 25, 2008 at the Hoff Family home in Paynesville, Liberia.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Norwu Korlu Telewoda Hoff: eight children: Christine “Bot” Hoff Pierre (George), A.J. Hoff (Patricia), Siafa Julius Hoff, Athemba Hoff, Sieneh Carnetta Hoff, Kali Lorenzo Hoff, Norwu Blanche Hoff and Konya Evelyna Hoff; his sisters: Hon. Ophelia Hoff Saytumah (Morris), Mayor of the City of Monrovia, Christine Hoff Williams (Allen), Enid Hoff David, Felicia Hoff Como (Ronnie), Henrinna Hoff Mason (Garfield), and Velma Hoff; his brothers: Julius Francis Hoff (Laurietta), Rupert Calvin Hoff, Roland Ebenezer Hoff (Miatta), Victor Ethan Hoff (Elizabeth), and Adrian Mario Hoff; nine grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements are as follow:

Wednesday, January 7, 2008: The remains of the late Wilbert Augustus Jefferson Hoff will be removed from the Samuel A. Stryker Funeral Service at 4:00 p.m., and taken to Providence Baptist Church on Ashmun Street for wake keeping from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Thursday, January 8, 2008: At 9:00 a.m., the remains will be removed from Providence Baptist Church and taken to Shiloh Baptist Church in the Township of Virginia for funeral services.

Interment will follow at the Family burial plot in Virginia. The Repast will be held at Malinda Villa (Mr. Henry D. Hoff, Sr.’s Residence/Hoff’s Family Home) in Paynesville City outside Monrovia.

Note: On the day of the funeral, tributes will be paid by the following: Shiloh Baptist Church, The Baptist Compact, Crowd 21, Alpha Oldtimers Sports Association, Invincible Eleven (I.E.) Majestic Sports Association, and the family. All other tributes will be paid during the wake.
