Rose Mary  Larwuo Johnson

The Johnson, Redd, Turay and Gittens families are deeply saddened by the irreparable loss of our mother, sister, cousin, grandmother, great grandmother, niece, aunt, and friend Ms. Rose Mary Larwuo Johnson.  This sad event occurred in the early hours (2:00 A.M) of December 18, 2013 at the ELWA Hospital, following a brief illness.

“Aunty Mary” or “Ma Rose” as she was affectionately called was born in Buhanan, Grand Bassa County, Republic of Liberia, on June 24, 1946.

She is survived by her two daughters Lucinda Wee-wee Gittens and Annette Teta Gittens-Page and son Joseph Davis.  “Aunty” Mary is also survived by nine (9) brothers including Pewu Johnson, Yarkpazuo Bah-deh, K. Z. Johnson, Koboi L. Johnson, Beyan K. Johnson, Yanquoi Johnson, K. Gayflor Zarwu, Brima Sosoboy Turay, Sonfa Turay, James Gayflor, and Yeayeai Nyenlekewoi,. Aunty is also survived by her sisters Aletha Mason, Norwu Johnson, Kulubo Johnson, Kubo Kulu Johnson, Saata Johnson, Famatta Turay-Bright, Jontarr Turay, and Joann Turay.  She is further Survived by her Uncle David Redd of the city  of Buchanan; Aunties Victoria Redd and Jeannie Redd of the USA, several grand and great grand children and a host of other relatives.

Wake Keeping & Funeral Services

Body Removal:  The body will be removed from the A. B. Anderson Funeral Home on Lynch Street on Friday January 24, 2014 at 4:00 PM and taken to the Christ Miracle of Faith Church on Police Academy Road  in Paynesville, for one night of wake keeping commencing from 9:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday January 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Miracle of Faith Church on Police Academy Road in Paynesville.
