The Late Samuel C. F. Johnson
The Johnson, Kianken and Weapooh Famlies of River Gee County announce with profound regret the home going of their son and father, the Hon. Samuel C. F. Johnson, First Assistant Superintendent for Development of River Gee County, uncle and father figure to the current Superintendent of River Gee County, Hon. Daniel G. Johnson. The late Samuel C.F. Johnson was born on September 29, 1940 to the union of Rev. Tweh Weah Johnson and Mrs. Sarah Yonochea Johnson.
This sad event occurred at 8:00 p.m. on April 13, 2012 at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, Monrovia, Liberia. He leaves to mourn his ex-wife Cary Brown, his son, Sam Johnson Jr., three brothers and two sisters: Rev. John G. Johnson (Liberia), David S. Johnson (USA), Rev. Thomas G. Johnson (USA), Helen Johnson-Wesseh (USA) and Eliza Johnson-Karba (Liberia); sisters-in-law Mrs. Sandra Johnson, Mrs. Yamda Beatrice Johnson and brother-in-law, Patrick Karba; several nephews including River Gee County Superintendent Hon. Daniel G. Johnson, Mr. David N. Johnson of Columbia, Maryland, USA. and several nieces.
He obtained his elementary education in Cavalla Firestone, Junior High Education from Cape Palmas High School, Maryland County and graduated from Monrovia College in 1964. He was a graduate of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice, New York, New York, USA. He was a veteran National Security and VIP Protection professional. He served as Presidential Motorcade Commander and Assistant Director for Operations, Colonel in the Special Security Services (SSS), Executive Mansion. He also served as Deputy Director for VIP protection, Ministry of National Security and Field Agent, Former Agent in Charge, National Bureau of Investigation; Former Deputy Director of the National Security Agency; Assistant Superintendent for Development, River Gee County, Liberia. Co- founder and 1st Chairman of the Deacon Board of the United Christian Fellowship Church, Brooklyn, New York, USA, Member, 1st Assembly of God Church, Monrovia, among others.
First Family wake keeping will be held at the home of Rev. John G. Johnson, Hotel Africa Road on Wednesday, April 25th beginning at 8:00pm. Final Family wake keeping will be held at his (the late Sam Johnson) New Georgia residence on Friday, April 27th from 9:00pm to 12:00pm. Funeral Services will be held at the First Assemblies of God Church on Saturday, April 28th begin at 9:30am. Internment will be followed thereafter at the Brewersville Cemetery.
