MS. Henrietta Florence King

Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy ladened, and I will give you rest. The King, Mayson,Smith, Reeves, Wright, Montgomery and Waritay families announce the triumphant passing in her 79th year of their mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, MS. Henrietta Florence King, on Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at her New Georgia residence. Celebrating her life are her children, Albertine , Louise, Alvin, Lionel (Bill) and Metchant. Also celebrating her transition are her siblings, E. Lafayette King, Sr., Ellen King-Henri, Christian King, E. Martinus Whitfield, Sr., Amelia Smith, Catherine King-Spiller, Frances King, Clarence King, her aunt Charlotte Mayson, several in-laws, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. She now joins her children Aleu and Michael (Poppie), along with her parents, Lemuel B. King, Sr., and Clara Mayson King Whitfield, her siblings James Robert King, Sr., Collinette Benetta King Raynes, Lemuel B. King, Jr., Rev. A.B. King Williamson, Jacob King, John Smith, Augusta King, Aurora King and a host of others, singing praises to the MOST HIGH. An accomplished seamstress, Henrietta Florence King made uniforms for many students in the Monrovia area. She also had contracts with Tubman National Institute of Medical Arts (TNIMA), and the American Embassy, among others. As a mother grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunty, cousin and friend, Henrietta Florence King stressed the need to maintain a sense of self worth through hard and dedicated work. SHE HAS GONE FROM LABOUR TO REWARD.

Funeral rites over the mortal remains of Henrietta Florence King will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at the New Georgia Baptist Church, New Georgia, Montserrado County, followed by interment at the family plot in Caldwell.
