James M. Lake, Sr
With
deep regrets, the Ghanwoloku, Lake, and Koiwood families announce the death of
their beloved husband, father, uncle,
brother, nephew, grandfather, and great-grandfather--Mr.
James M. Lake, Sr. of Bethlehem, PA, USA. This
sad event occurred on Thursday, December 14,2006 at the Old Orchard Nursing Home
in Easton, PA., USA at 66 years old. Mr. Lake was born on November 15, 1940 in
Zolowo, Zorzor District, Lofa County to the union of the late Krubozumo Ghanwoloku
and Lawoe Ghanwoloku. Before coming to America, Mr. Lake worked as an expediter
in the U.S. Embassy in Monrovia for 13 years. He was a member of the Seventh Day
Adventist Church in Monrovia and Hanover Township, PA, USA. Survivors:
Surviving with his wife Martha are six sons, three daughters, five brothers, five
sisters, 12 grandchildren. Immediate relatives residing in America are his sons,
Nathaniel Popps of Staten Island, NY, and James M. Lake Jr. of Bethlehem, PA.
Brothers: Gayvorlor S. Ghanwoloku of Salisbury Township, John and Robert Lake
of Layton, Utah. Sisters-in-law: Josephine Willi, of Boston, Mass, and Pauline
Wah of North Carolina. Nephews: Samuel Kollie of Whitehall Township, PA. and a
host of other family members and friends in Liberia, Ghana, Guinea, and the USA. FUNERAL
