the peaceful home going of their father, grandfather,
great grandfather, uncle, and cousin, Pastor
J. David Lake on September 19, 2011. Pastor
Lake passed away in the caring hands of his
daughters, Sodey Lake and Dee Zoe Lake in Monrovia,
Liberia.
Pastor
Lake was born in Harrisburg, Montserrado County,
and is survived by his wife, Mrs. Nyamah Lake
of 70 years; Children: Joan Nathan, Rose-Marie
Cummings, Sodey Lake, Dee Zoe Lake, Dardhe Lake,
Julia Lake, Korto Lake, J. David Lake Jr., Sarah
Lake, Peter Lake and Jeffery Lake, grandchildren,
great grandchildren, the Miller and Johnson
families of Upper Careysburg, the Harrisburg
and Millsburg families, cousins, the Lutheran
Church family in Liberia, and USA , the Suakoko
Family and a host of relatives and friends.
One daughter, Margaret Lake-Young predeceased
him.
The
late Pastor Lake lived a rewarding and peaceful
life touching many along his path. He was a
father, educator, counselor and friend to many.
His life was focused on the fear and the love
of God and always recognizing the good in others.
He will be missed by many but we praise God
that he lived a life of service and dedication.
