Mrs. Nyamah B. Lake
The Lake, Quoinah and Kpangbai families of Liberia and the United States announce with grateful hearts the home going of their beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend Mrs. Nyamah B. Lake, a long-time resident of Suakoko, Bong County. She peacefully transitioned to be with her maker on April 26, 2015 in Gbarnga, Bong County. She is survived by her children Joan Lake Nathan, Rose- Marie Lake Cummings, Sodey Lake, Dee-Zoe Lake, Dardhe Lake, Julia Lake, Korto Lake, J David Lake Jr, Peter Lake, Jeffery Lake, her sister Gbangho Quoinah, brother Oscar Quoinah, several Nieces and nephews, including Lucia Fahnbulleh (Boimah), Sarah Lake-Russ, Oliver Lake, Lawrence Plator, Mary Miller (Edwin), twenty grand-children, twenty-five great grand-children and a host of other relatives. Mrs. Lake was predeceased by her husband Rev. J David Lake sr., daughter Margaret Lake-Young, sisters Korto, Gbormeh, Ghangar, and her brother Charlie.
Funeral arrangements are as follows:
May 21, 2015 7:00pm-9:00pm – Silent wake-keeping at the Hope of Pentecost Church, Shoe Factory, Gardnersville, Liberia. This will be immediately followed by visitation at residence of the Rev. Dr. Sodey C. Lake, LPRC Junction, Gardnersville, Liberia.
May 22, 2015 9:00am - Removal Service at the Samuel Stryker Funeral home, Sinkor, Monrovia after which the remains of the late Mrs. Lake will be conveyed to Gbarnga, Bong County.
May 22, 2015 9:00pm-12:00am - Wake-keeping at the St. Mark Lutheran Church, Gbarnga, Bong County.
May 23, 2015 9:00am - Interment will at her ancestral hometown of Duata, Bong County.
