Mrs. Elizabeth Plode Scott Landford

It is with deep sadness that the Bedell, Scott, Dennis, Morris,Seton, Ofori and Landford families announce the death of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunty, sister-in-law, cousin and friend. This sad event occurred at the Center For Extended Care at Amherst, Massachusetts, USA on July 16, 2014.
Elizabeth Plode Scott was born in Hoffman Station, Cape Palmas, Liberia unto the union of Captain Tom Mlehn and Mary Nmahde Tedeh Scott.  She moved with her parents to Nigeria.  She returned to Liberia at a very early age to go to school. She lived with her late aunt Mrs. Sally Scott-Wesley of Hoffman Station, the wife of the late Vice President of Liberia, Mr. Too Wesley, in Harper City, Liberia. Harper City was her home in Liberia until she met her late husband, Mr. William Hne Landford of Whole Graway, Liberia and moved to live in Ghana. She returned to Liberia in 1974. At the heat of the Liberian Civil War, she left to join her family in the USA in 1994.

She leaves to mourn her loss, her four children: Ms. Fridaye Landford (Liberia), Mrs. Wrehanyenneh Landford-Dennis (Liberia), Mrs. Comfort Bleeyoh Landford-Ofori (Italy) and Mr. William Nhoueh Landford (USA); her sixteen grandchildren in Liberia and Ghana, and Nhoueh Yiite Landford, Kannah Yimdah Landford, Yehudi Tebah Landford, Eben Hne Landford, Mrs. Atelia Tode Silva and Wilmina Nhouede Landford all of the USA; her daughter-in-law Agatha Nmahde Landford, her siblings: Anna Kannah Bedell (pre-deceased), Cece Wede (pre-deceased), Mrs. Dorothy Scott-Morris and William Belleh Scott , nieces, nephew, cousins and host of other relatives in Nigeria, Ghana, Italy, England, Liberia and USA. She was pre-deceased by her husband William Hne Landford in 2011.
Many of earth's greatest and noblest souls live their lives without glamour and social prestige, and without newspaper and television headlines. Yet, their individual histories are examples of life lived with honor and filled with meaning and purpose, where eternal values and principles are lived as well as taught and imprinted upon the succeeding generations. Elizabeth's lasting legacy is her family. To her family, she is of the noble spirits referenced in the book of Abraham. Thanks mom, for being our mother. You will be missed!!
