Phoebe Amanda Reeves was born on October 4, 1917 in Grand Bassa County
to Chapman Reeves and Yeamah "Gee" Brown. She was predeceased by her
husband, parents and siblings: Chapman Jr., Clauda, Johnny, Karkeh,
Eric, Dessey, Eliel, Simeon, Olivia, Maggie, Small TeTe, Dolly,
Rachel, Big Victoria, and Etta.

Phoebe worked for the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) at the
Ministry of Agriculture. During that time, she traveled extensively in
the Scandinavian countries. When she returned to Liberia, she devoted
her time to empowering women through teaching them critical life

Phoebe was very active in the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church, in
fact she transformed her cafe and in her own words "turned stools into
pews" to open the first SDA church in Sanniquellie. When the
congregation grew, she worked with Dell Harrison to erect the first
SDA church building and school. She was a tireless evangelist for
Jesus, always sharing the good news. She was known for her
hospitality, compassion, and dedication to humanity.

Phoebe is survived by ten children and their spouses: Louise & Hilary
Gibson, Chapman Z. Logan, James & Julia Logan Jr., Phoebe & Franklin
Harmon, Yeamah "YV" & George Brownell, Delcena Holley, Georgia Logan,
Joyce & Kessellie Wolo, Henry Logan, Jacob Logan, hundreds of foster
children, a host of neices, nephews, 27 grandchildren who will miss
her, and 17.5 great grandchildren.
