Mr. Joseph M. C. Marshall

The Marshall, McClain, Freeman, Craig, Mulbah, Davis, Siafah, Snetter, and Adigibi families announce, with deepest sympathy, the passing of our father, husband, grandfather, Uncle, brother, Cousin, and father-in-law Mr. Joseph M. C. Marshall, on Sunday, June 4, 2017, at his home in Philadelphia, Pennslyvania.

Joseph was born and raised in Monrovia, Liberia. He worked as a bank teller at Citi Bank, Liberia, originally called Bank of Monrovia, where he retired after 25 years of service. He was also a teacher with the Monrovia Consolidated School System. He taught and tutored many students including his late wife, Agnes (Ma Jardeh) Marshall, who predeceased him on February 28, 2017.

His union with the late Ma Jardeh was blessed with 6 children (4 predeceased). Joseph was also blessed with four more children.

The late Mr. Marshall migrated to the United States to be with his children in 2000.  He lived in Bensalem, PA for the last 10 years and was an active member and elder of the Peace Lutheran Church in Bensalem.

To mourn his loss, Joseph leaves his children: Oretha Marshall McClain (Sam), Jacqueline Marshall, Josephine Marshall Davis (Sekou), Koumehwoo Marshall Siafah (Emmanuel), Labyan Marshall Mulbah (Kollie), Michaelyn Marshall & Kermeh Marshall;  His grandchildren  Samuel-Ervin McClain (Erika), Samuel-Ellis McClain, Andrew Adigibi, Monique Snetter, Charles Massaquoi, Etienne Kpadeh, Ester Siafah, & Maxwell Siafah; his brothers, Henry and Edward Marshall, his nephews, Moses and Larry Marshall, his cousin Melton Craig (wife Ellen); and a host of other relatives.

Funeral Announcement
Funeral services will be held in Monrovia, Liberia on Friday, July 14, 2017 at  9 AM at the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Sinkor.

Interment
The interment will take place at Joseph Marshall’s Farm in Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 12 noon.
