It is with profound sadness that Massaquoi and Putu families announce the home-going of our dear husband, father, brother, uncle, friend, Mr. Sylvanus M. Massaquoi. This sad event occured on February 11, 2017 at the Holy Cross Catholic Hospital in Silver Spring, Maryland after a period of illness. In accordance with Mr. Massaquoi’s Islamic tradition, he was buried on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
Mr. Massaquoi leaves to cherish her memories: his wife, Suesie S. Massaquoi; his children: Kaililu Massaquoi , Lawrence Massaquoi Sr (Jenneh), Victor Massaquoi , Jurma Goines (Ronald), Luisane Massaquoi (Amber), Momodu Massaquoi, Janneh Massaquoi, Samuel D. Reeves, Jr.
Also, cherishing his memories are his five sisters, four brothers, nine grand children, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and a host of relatives and friends in the United States, Sierra Leone, and Liberia.
The family remains eternally grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers and soothing words during this time of bereavement; we truly appreciate the relentless support and contributions to give our dear loved one a decent home-going.
