Mr. Daniel S. B. Mensah, Jr
Mr. Daniel S.B. Mensah Jr. was born to the union of Daniel S.B. Mensah Sr. & Nancy Brown-Mensah, June 27, 1930 in Fendall, Liberia. It is with deep sadness and heartfelt regret that we announce the sudden passing of Mr. Daniel S. B. Mensah, Jr, affectionately known as “Winterford”, “Uncle Winterford”, “Uncle Woe”, “Woe”, and “the Living Pops”. This tragic event occurred on May 25, 2018 at the Cynthia Nelson Clinic, Bushrod Island, Monrovia, Liberia. Uncle Woe attended Elementary School in Fendall, Liberia & later attended & graduated from Booker Washington Institute (BWI) in Kakata, Margibi County, Liberia where he obtained a diploma in Agriculture as 1st of his graduating class. He was an accomplished accountant who work at the Ministry of Finance as the Director of Pre- Audit and the General Services Agency for many years before retiring into private life. He founded & headed the Via Town Elementary & Jr. High School in Clara Town, Liberia From 1970 – 1979. The objective was to help less fortunate Liberian Kids obtain a good foundation that could help prepare them for later academic success.
Uncle Winterford leaves in mourning: his devoted Significant other, Doris Teni Mitchell, Sons: Col. Eric Alfred Mensah and Victor Mensah of Liberia. Winterford Mensah, A. Quashi Mensah, Kwame Mickey Mensah, Prince Ashford Mensah, Prof. Daniel O. Mensah, all of the United States of America. Daughter(s): Lala Mensah. Siblings: Malvana Mensah-Karpeh, Irene Mensah-Brown, and S.B. Mensah along with a host of beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, and friends in Liberia, United States, and the rest of the World. His sudden demise will have a profound impact on the entire Family.
