Anita Mitchell Pearce
The
death is announced of 2 sisters: Dinah Rebecca
Mitchell, 82, (on Thursday, March 24, 2005) and
Anita Mitchell Pearce, 84, (on Tuesday, March
29, 2005). They lived at the Pearce residence
on 9th Street in Sinkor, Monrovia. Both were born
and grew up in Millsburg, Montserrado County,
Liberia.
Dinah
visited her sick sister, Anita, in the hospital
on Palm Sunday, March 20, 2005. Since the visit,
she was never the same. On Thursday, she had an
unscheduled meeting with a visiting relative.
During the meeting she insisted on talking about
she and her sister's funeral arrangements. She
passed few minutes after the relative left.
Her
sister, Anita, on the other hand, remained in
a deteriorating condition at the Firestone Hospital
in Harbel, following abdominal surgery on March
1, 2005. Anita died 5 days after her sister's
death.

Mitchell leaves to mourn her loss her daughter
Catherine Mitchell, granddaughter Yeye Raynes,
and a host of other relatives and friends.
Anita
Pearce leaves to mourn her loss 6 children, David
and Julius Pearce of Liberia, Oretha Caroline,
Nona, and Jonathan of the USA, and Lucy of Ghana;
Mrs Rachel Marshall and children of the USA; Several
foster children including Mrs Anna Thompson (USA)
and Mrs Angeline Mitchell Mulbah (who took care
of her till her death).
Removal
of the bodies will take place on Saturday, April
16, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. Moses Funeral
Parlor. Wake keeping commences at 10 a.m. at the
St. Stephen Episcopal Parish on 10th Street in
Sinkor, followed by funeral services at 11:00
a.m.
The
Late Dinah Mitchell will be laid out briefly at
her home church, The First Baptist Church in Millsburg
before both bodies are interred at a family plot.
A
memorial service will be held in Baltimore, Maryland
at a date to be announced.
May their souls and the souls of all the faithful
departed rest in perfect peace.
