Famatta
(Fatu) Sherman-Mitchell
The
R. Fole Sherman, Sr. Family announces, with
deep regrets, the untimely demise of their Sister,
Aunt and Cousin Famatta (Fatu) Sherman-Mitchell.
This sad event occurred at midnight on Tuesday,
July
27, 2010 at the Beth Israel Medical Center in
Jersey City, New Jersey, after a brief period
of illness.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband Nathan
Mitchell, her son Fole, her Grand Daughter Natasha
Mitchell, her brothers T. Siafa, R. Fole, G.
Varney and S.Lao; her sisters Theresa, Anna,
Victoria, Joyce, Cianna, Felicia and Musu, her
Brother-in-Law Senator Cletus Wotorson, her
Sisters-in-Law Julia Sherman, Janice Sherman,
Joyce Sherman, and Elizabeth Sherman, Nephews,
Nieces, Cousins and a host of other Relatives
and Friends.
On
Friday, August 13, 2010, wake keeping
over the immortal remains of Famatta Sherman-Mitchell
will be held at the Whigham
Funeral
Home, located at 580 Martin Luther King,
Jr. Blvd. (Formerly High Street) Newark, New
Jersey 07102 from 4-8 o’clock PM.
The
family respectfully requests that all Tributes
and/or Presentations be made at the wake.
On the day of interment, only Tributes programmed
will be allowed. There will be NO exception!
The
service celebrating the home going of Famatta
Sherman-Mitchell, affectionately called “Fatu”
will be held at 9 o’clock AM on Saturday,
August 14, 2010, at the Church of Epiphany located
at 105 Main Street, Orange, New Jersey, 05050
Following the church service, interment
will take place at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetry
and Mausoleum located at 225 Ridgedale Avenue,
East Hanover, NJ 07936.
