ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS

We the family of the late Dr. Harry Fumba Moniba wish to sincerely thank all relatives, friends, neighbors and compatriots for their many beautiful flowers, cards, generous donations, kind words and messages of condolence and sympathy we received during our bereavement on the sudden loss of the former Vice President of Liberia. We would especially like to thank the committed staff of the Moniba for President Campaign, the Chairman and members of the Liberia National Union Party, the Chairman and members of the National Democratic Party of Liberia, the Liberian people and everyone who supported the campaign of Dr. Moniba to offer his cherished vision of self-less leadership to the Liberian nation. Our sincere gratitude goes out to Chairman Charles G. Bryant, Speaker George Dweh and officials of the National Transitional Government of Liberia for their support and tributes, and for the respectful and dignified manner in which the state funeral arrangements were handled.

Special thanks also to Bishop Edward W. Neufville of the Episcopal Church, Rev. Fr. John Edgar Freeman of St. Stephens Episcopal Church, Rev. Fr. D. Emmanuel Hodges, Rector of Grace Episcopal Church, Rev. Canon J. Jellico Bright, former Rector of the St. Stephens Episcopal Church and other officiating clergy for their kindness and sincerity in conducting the memorable wake and funeral services. Special thanks to the funeral committees, the Samuel Stryker Funeral Home in Monrovia and the Fairfax Memorial Funeral Home in Virginia for their exceptional arrangements and care.

We very much appreciated the presence of everyone, especially Former Liberian Ambassador and Mrs. Francis Dennis, Liberian Ambassador to the United States and Mrs. Charles Minor, and U.S. Congressman Nick Smith of Michigan. We were overwhelmed by the number of people who came to join us in celebrating the life and legacy of Dr. Moniba and to say goodbye to him. No one knew him like us; no one loved him as a dear husband, father, brother, uncle, father-in-law, and brother-in-law like us but he will be missed by many, far and near. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
