Mrs.
Matilda Augusta Hill-Pearson
The
Pearson and Hill families mourn the loss of
their mother, sister, grandmother, aunty, and
cousin, Mrs. Matilda Augusta Hill-Pearson who
was affectionately called Big Ma, Big Aunty,
or MAP. This sad event occurred on Wednesday
September 9, 2009 while she was in route to
the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Monrovia,
Liberia to seek medical care. Mourning are her
children, Reuben B. Logan (Carol), Vashti Sue
Brandy (Charles), Rev. Charlotte E. Pearson-Kaicora
(George), Ralph A. Pearson Sr., Theresa A. Pearson-Maweya
(Sam), Alfred H. Pearson, and Janet S. Pearson.
Other children are Moses J. Pearson (Annie),
Kula Musu Karmara (Moses), Garfield Mason (Rena),
Joe Gayle, Amos Pearson, Rose Kennedy, Amara
Kennedy, Luther Kennedy, Satta Seidi and John
Woodson. She had 18 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren,
1 sister, Mrs. Melissa J. Hill-Goll, 2 brothers,
Deacon James H.E. Hill, Sr. and Deacon Richard
D.A. Hill Sr.; several nieces, nephews, cousins,
and a host of relatives and friends in Liberia
and the USA.
